One Direction songs available on SPINNR

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino fans of One Direction recently got the surprise of their lives as the group posted a quick shoutout to its followers in the Philippines via Facebook.

“Happy Monday, 1D Family in the Philippines!” the shoutout began, followed by a quick promotion that the group’s latest album, Midnight Memories, is available for download. “One Direction’s album is still available on SPINNR — the Philippines’ biggest online music portal!”

SPINNR, powered by Smart Music, allows Smart, Talk ‘N Text and Sun Cellular users in the Philippines to download original digital copies of One Direction’s latest album for as low as P15 per track, or only P270 for the entire album.

Fans quickly flooded the post with hundreds of comments as it garnered more than 3,000 likes 12 hours after posting.

One Direction, which shot to international fame after its stint in The X Factor in 2010, is set to stage Where We Are stadium tour covering countries in North America, Latin America and Europe beginning April.

Midnight Memories, the group’s latest album, is available for download and streaming when users subscribe to the SPINNR VIP package at just P49 a month, or the SPINNR Plus one package at P2.50 per day.
