P-Noy almost forgets Kris' brithday

MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III almost forgot to greet his youngest sister, talk show host Kris Aquino, on her 42nd birthday on Friday.

The President admitted in a press conference that it was among the first things he did in celebration of Valentine's Day.

"Unang-una ko hong nagawa, nagpapasalamat ako kay Senator [Sonny] Angara, napaalala niyang birthday nga pala ng kapatid ko ngayong araw na ito, bunsong kapatid ko," Aquino said.

"So kung hindi dahil sa kanya baka nakaligtaan kong mabati ang aking kapatid," he added.

Kris, meanwhile, attended Aquino's 51st birthday celebration last February 8.

She was also present during the Thanksgiving Mass at Malacañang.

No Valentine's date

The president will also not be celebrating the day with a special someone.

"Mamaya naman ay magtitipon kami ng mga kaibigan ko at mas kaunting salo salo at hanggang doon na lang yon," he said.

Aquino also hinted that if he would only stay home on Valentine's night, Kris would have given him some responsibilities outside his official duties.

"At least siguro hindi naman ide-deposito sa 'kin ni kris ang kanyang mga anak ngayong araw na ito," he said. - Camille Diola
