Three action stars of the ‘60s who met violent deaths. On the big screen they lived by the gun…and on real life they died by the gun.

Alberto’s career was starting to peak when he was gunned down in a nightclub brawl. His many fans, some of them beautiful women who loved his dashing looks, cried a river at his wake and burial.

Gone too soon, they say.

One of Alberto’s action pictures was Dinong Dorondo (1965) opposite Divina Valencia, Bessie Barredo and Gina Laforteza. He played a rugged streetfighter in the movie, subtitled Palaban ng Maynila. —RKC
