MANILA, Philippines - Susan Roces is the special guest of Art 2 Art in its Christmas episode airing today at 3 p.m., on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), on cable television via RHTV and on the Internet through DZRH Live Streaming at www.dzrh.com.ph.
Acclaimed as the Queen of Philippine Movies, Susan relates to Art 2 Art host Lisa Macuja how she got discovered by Dr. Jose Perez of Sampaguita Pictures during a Fans Day in the ’50s, her first big break as the lead star of Boksingera Daw and how she has nurtured her career through the decades.
The multi-awarded actress is still one of the busiest in the industry, and continues to appear in teleseryes, films and even commercial endorsements.
Susan first guested in Art 2 Art in its tribute to her late husband, National Artist for Film Fernando Poe Jr.
The Susan Roces episode is part of the show’s Legends and Pop Icons series, which started with the famed dance duo The Aldeguer Sisters last Dec. 15. The series will next feature veteran scriptwriter, radio talent and DZRH drama manager Salvador Royales.
