Lani Misalucha performs at Solaire for 'Yolanda' victims

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Lani Misalucha's supposedly regular show at Solaire Resort & Casino has been turned into a benefit concert for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

The management decided to instead do a benefit concert after the typhoon left a large swath of destruction in the Visayas, affecting nearly 10 million people.

Lani said she was very glad that he would be doing something for her fellow Filipinos.

“E, ito may iba tayong patutunguhan ng ibang proceeds nito,” Lani said about her concert, during an interview on Thursday afternoon. “Kahit papaano alam mo na may patutunguhan, may cause itong gagawin natin.”

Lani said that she felt down after seeing the aftermath of the typhoon while she wasin the US.

Drowned by the emotion she felt because of the Filipinos' suffering, Lani could not help but blurt out that she is dedicating her song "Tila" to them. She even sang a few lines of the song during the press briefing; “Tila hihina rin ang ulan, tila lilipas din ang bagyo, liliwanag din ang kalangitan, at ang araw ay sisikat nang muli.”

Lani’s “Queen of the Night” show will happen on November 20, 8 p.m., at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort & Casino.
