Sundays were made for The Saturdays

MANILA, Philippines - The UK’s hottest girl group to take over the states in nearly two decades is set to wow American viewers with its fierce style, fun-loving personalities and harmonic voices when E!’s new docu-series Chasing The Saturdays premieres April 7 at 10 p.m.

To date, the sexy talented young women have had 11 Top 10 singles in the UK and three Top 10 UK albums. In addition to their string of chart-topping hits, the uber-stylish group made up of Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes has dominated the UK media due to its high-profile romances, influential and edgy fashion sense, celebrated friendship, engaging personalities and of course, the undeniable talent.

Now, the fab five are ready to take the US by storm as they work on the highly-anticipated fourth album with E! cameras granted unprecedented access into the private lives of The Saturdays.

The series’ inaugural season focuses on the band taking up residence in Los Angeles where the members will live, play and work on expanding their incredibly successful music careers into the American music market. As soon as The Saturdays arrive in style in their new home, they immediately head into the recording studio to begin working on their album — the first to be released internationally.

Cameras will also follow as they shoot the music video for their first American single, What About Us, featuring the Grammy-winning reggae artist Sean Paul. The girls will also debut the song for the first time at a Hollywood hot spot, as well as perform a set at an exclusive VMA after party hosted by Perez Hilton.

However, translating UK fame overseas is not easy. Work, travel and distance start to take its toll on the girls as they begin to miss their loved ones back home. Newlyweds Rochelle and Una have the hardest time but luckily the girls are able to lean on one another along with a few special friends in the States, including The Wanted, who bring some British familiarity back into the scene.

But living in America isn’t all work and no play for the Saturdays. They make head-turning appearances at New York Fashion Week, let loose at the Los Angeles County Fair and perform to a sold-out crowd at the historic The Roxy in Hollywood.

The season is full of highs and lows as the girls’ fame and success continues to grow. They sign up with renowned music label Mercury Records on their debut US album, while simultaneously battling living abroad and adjusting to life across the pond. Through it all, the five women, each with her own individual personality, style and quirks, are in the end, best friends and each other’s biggest fans.
