Love X 3 at Resorts World Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Side A, Jinky Vidal and Top Suzara will be performing together in a rare concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila at 8 p.m. on Feb. 14. Billed as Love X 3, the show is another landmark production from Viva Concert & Events.

With musical direction and arrangements by Naldy Gonzales of Side A and Top, the show will bring power-packed renditions of some of the best of popular music during the past three decades, most notably the original works popularized by Side A and Freestyle, of which Jinky and Top were former vocalists.

Side A is made up of Joey Generoso, Naldy Gonzales, Ernie Severino, Lee Von Cailao and Ned Esguerra. Formed in the late ’80s, the band rose to prominence during the ’90s to become the country’s leading pop-rock band. It is best known for its party music and the soulful vocals of Joey. Among its biggest hits are Hold On, Tuloy Pa Rin Ako, Aawitin Ko Na Lang, Tell Me, So Many Questions, Forevermore, By Your Side and others.

Top and Jinky were discovered by Viva Records as members of Freestyle in Davao two decades ago. Top was the keyboardist and songwriter while Jinky was the vocalist. The young pop band soon became the toast of Manila with hits like Before I Let You Go, So Slow, Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang and others. Unfortunately, a falling out within the group separated Totop and Jinky and both pursued solo careers for several years. This show is the first time that they are performing together again.

Love X 3 is presented by Viva Concerts & Events with ABS-CBN, MYX, 105.1 Crossover, 94.7 Mellow, 96.3 Easy Rock, The Philippine STAR, Manila Bulletin, Business World, PBO and Viva Cinema.
