Always ready for exciting possibilities

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A lot of people like to live life slow and steady, which can translate to routine days filled with mundane activities and daily chores. For Amaya Gonzalez, foodie, business- woman, teacher and pole danc er, life is all about discovering interesting possibilities.

As owner of the well-loved food brand Connie’s Kitchen and director of Polecats Studio, the Philippines’ premier pole dancing school, Amaya’s days usually bring in new and unexpected challenges. Like any entrepreneur cum artist who juggles many roles, she always strives to find a balance between activities that are unrelated to each other. On one hand, she teaches the now-popular performing art, Pole Dancing; on another, she manages a food retail business. She flies through her busy schedule with an optimistic outlook, turning to the ever-refreshing taste and health-giving benefits of C2 Green Tea to rejuvenate her positive mindset and keep spirits high.

Born into a family of culinary ex- perts who run a restaurant and deli business, Amaya never dreamed of becoming one of the Philippines’ lead- ing pole dance performers. Perhaps an accidental artist, she first got into the popular dance craze when her friends, who were avid fans of pole danc-

ing, encouraged her to join. Hesitant at first, she eventually mustered the courage to sign up for evening classes and instantly felt a connection with pole moves during her first routine. For her, it was surprisingly love at first dance.

Since the group’s humble begin- nings three years ago, Amaya has already trained hundreds of students who, like her, have fallen in love with the adrenaline rush that comes with pole dancing. “It isn’t just a hobby; it’s more of an exciting sport,” she says.

Always ready for unexpected chal- lenges and opportunities, Amaya knows that anyone who dreams of being successful needs to stay healthy. And while keeping up with the de- mands of running a food business and teaching pole dancing can be physi- cally and mentally taxing, Amaya stays on top of her game through healthy diet and exercise. As a pole dance instructor, she makes sure she and her students at the Polecats Stu- dio take frequent breaks in between dance sessions, and avoid carbon- ated drinks. “We hardly ever drink sodas. It was amazing to find out how healthy tea actually is, so now we only drink tea and water during break times. Tea drinks like C2 help us feel relieved after long hours of practice,” she says.

With its rejuvenating freshness, C2 Green Tea keeps Amaya’s mood bright and sparkling with energy, letting her enjoy the present and be ready for whatever other surprise the future may hold.
