Wolfgang: Dos Ekkis concert tonight

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Wolfgang is set to unleash the Wolfgang: Dos Ekkis concert, marking the band’s 20th year of rocking the archipelago. The show happens tonight at 8 at the Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.

A portion of the proceeds is earmarked for the Maytunas Creek Project, San Juan, in aid of the clean-up of the major choke-point of the Pasig River that will help alleviate floods in Metro Manila.

Tickets priced at P650, P999 and P1,250 are available through the Wolfgang Hotlines at 0915-6212189, 0927-8705637 or 891-9999.

Buyers of more than two tickets will receive a Wolfgang D&D custom guitar pick. All ticket holders will have the chance to win one of two D&D Custom electric guitars, during a raffle draw on concert night.

The concert promises to take both fans and music enthusiasts on a head-banging rough-and-tumble journey, from its first award-winning album to its seventh album, Ang Bagong Dugo sa Lu-mang Ugat.

As a testament to the band’s popularity, the newest offering debuted No. 1 on the Odyssey Music charts upon its release, as well as on iTunes Philippines as most downloaded rock album.

Wolfgang has defied norms and expectations of what will or will not appeal to the Filipino public, attracting an ever-growing following with its technical virtuosity, compelling musical dynamics and unique on-stage charisma.

Wolfgang: Dos Ekkis is presented by Tanduay Distillers, Inc, No Fear apparel, Pony Shoes, with sponsors D&D Custom Guitars, Lyric Music (Vic Firth, PDP Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Aquarian Drumheads) and Odyssey Music & Video. Media partners are MYX music channel, myxph.com, Radio Republic, Rakista Radio, New Media Factory and Jam 88.3.
