Cesar and Lolita in 'jungle picture'

MANILA, Philippines - Every now and then, Sampaguita Pictures, noted for dramas, musicals and comedies, produced so-called ‘jungle pictures.’ One such film is Dumagit (1954), with Cesar Ramirez in the title role and Lolita Rodriguez as love interest, ‘the wild, exotic jungle flower.’

Co-starring are Van de Leon and Myrna Delgado, ‘the siren from civilization.’

Cesar is the jungle hero torn between two loves.

Dumagit was penned by Francisco V. Coching, serialized in Pilipino Komiks. — RKC
