The Chinese New Year in Life & Style

MANILA, Philippines - GMA News TV 11’s Life & Style with Gandang Ricky Reyes welcomes the Year of the Water Dragon on Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. The episode features how the residents of Binondo, the country’s Chinatown, prepare for the Chinese New Year celebrations. 

The show will head to Ongpin to visit the Dragon Phoenix Lucky Charm Shop selling charms, crystals and amulets said to ward off evil spirits and bring luck, riches and prosperity. LSWGRR also goes to the hopia stores owned by the very enterprising Jerry Chua, who’s popularly called Ube King or Mr. Ube.

LSWGRR will also feature the Wing’s Lion and Dance Group as its young and adult members practice — and how!
