Sarah Aliw Entertainer of the Year

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Sarah Geronimo (photo) added another feather in her highly-decorated cap. The Pop Princess was recently proclaimed Entertainer of the Year and Best Female Major Concert at the recent Aliw Awards.

Before that, she was named Female Recording Artist of the Year  for her album Music and Me at the second Star Awards for Music of the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). She was also proclaimed Face of the Night during the PMPC awards night.

2010 has been another fruitful year for Sarah. She starred in the critically-acclaimed romance-drama Hating Kapatid with Judy Ann Santos. Sarah topbilled the ABS-CBN primetime series Idol and still has her hands full with endorsements.

Her latest endorsement is a 15-month contract with the Filipino mobile phone brand  My Phone. It  is the first and only Filipino mobile phone with dual SIM mobility that anyone can have at affordable prices.

With this, you can take Sarah with you anywhere — on the beach, in the mall, in the jogging lane, etc.

This, Sarah and her manager Vic del Rosario saw for themselves during a presentation by Beda Mañalac, vice president of Solid Group, Inc., makers of My Phone.

That’s why Sarah is happy about her newest endorsement.

“I’m so blessed to get this endorsement,” she says. “It’s meaningful to me. I’d like to thank My Phone for making me part of its family.”

Joseph Lim, owner of Solid Group, Inc., states, “My Phone wants to be, not just a phone but a source of entertainment.”

This versatility is its edge in a market saturated with various mobile phone brands. My Phone is not just for keeping in touch with friends and loved ones. It’s also the first music album phone in the market.  Songs are protected by copyright laws to prevent piracy.

My Phone is leaving no stone unturned to make sure its partnership with Sarah is a success. Aside from special My Phone models with an exclusive selection of Sarah’s music, the brand will also issue a specially-designed phone for the pop princess alone.

Jingo Fermin, Solid Group, Inc. president says, “Sarah would capture the spirit of what we want to show the Filipino consumer.”
