Ang Dating Daan turns 30

MANILA, Philippines -   Ang Dating Daan is turning a new leaf in its celebration of its 30th year. Aside from its main concern of preaching the gospel worldwide, the program will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with a socio-enviro theme.

The event will be a tree-planting activity today to mark its 30 years of broadcast. The organization behind the production would want to ensure that in its celebration, nature and fellowmen will have a lasting gain with its one-day event.

Ang Dating Daan is hosted by preacher Bro. Eliseo Soriano. Bro. Eli had become known to be the “walking Bible” and “the most sensible preacher of our time” through this program for his remarkable way of answering queries about the Bible and spirituality. Bro. Eli is the presiding minister of Members Church of God International (MCGI).

MCGI is known to be an avid supporter of nature-care campaigns as most of their practices involve high concern with nature. Its members are abiding enthusiasts of “green laws” like recycling and waste management. 

They are also the primary supporter of Isang Araw Lang campaign of UNTV broadcast journalist, Daniel Razon. The campaign had rendered notable projects such as campaign against cigarette smoking, free college scholarships and many others. 

Ang Dating Daan is also airing in the continents of America and Europe with an international title, The Old Path. The international propagation has been continuously reaping converts from different nations particularly in United Kingdom, Canada and several countries in America.

Aside from its American and European broadcast, The Old Path is now being relayed in India and Uruguay. These are countries whose citizens were requesting for a long time to have Bro. Eli’s broadcast be heard.

The Old Path had also started its broadcast in Ghana, Africa and in Papua New Guinea.

Ang Dating Daan started on radio in 1980. It soon graced the television screen in 1983 and has not stopped heralding God’s Word since.
