Kuh in The Voice and the Violin

The Philippine Star

Kuh Ledesma is set to outdo herself with The Voice and the Violin, which will run for two nights — Feb. 13 and 14 — at the Captain’s Bar, Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The show will start at 9 p.m.

Kuh decided to title this year’s show The Voice and the Violin for two reasons. Not only will she display her fine vocal range to full effect by singing her songs in a romantic way, but she will also be joined by the comebacking Ariel Rivera.

Ariel has already returned to the recording scene by way of Once Again, his latest album under Sony BMG Music Entertainment. He chose to mark his return to the concert scene with The Voice and the Violin. He has done Valentine shows with Kuh before, including Playing With Romance in the ‘90s. The last time they appeared on stage together was for the fundraiser Muling Aawit Ang Pasig.

The other reason for the show’s title is violinist Jay Cayuca, who is no stranger to performing with the country’s best divas. This won’t be his first time to join Kuh in a show. Which is great, because like love, performing with someone is better the second time around. Jay’s pop-classical approach to the violin will please those who will watch the show.

Kuh has just finished the successful staging of Divas4Divas and is preparing for a US tour while wrapping up work on an inspirational album titled Walking On Water to be released by Bravo Records.
