Life after Mt. Everest

The Philippine Star

Janet Bellarmino-Sardena, Karina Dayondon and Noelle Wenceslao have conquered the world’s tallest mountain together and brought pride and inspiration to Filipinos.

One will wonder what powers these three remarkable young ladies have, to take on such impossible challenges. Last August, they were again off to Kota Kinabalu for the Mt. Kinabalu International Climbathon 2008 dubbed as the “world’s toughest mountain race.”

Janet is a young mother and she is wide-eyed and glowing as she talks about her new role and this new stage in her life. She tells us that motherhood has never stopped her from pursuing unimaginable feats (she just gave birth when they scaled Everest last year).

Janet shares with us the secrets of hers, Karina’s and Noelle’s stamina and perfect body conditioning. “We run, swim, do gym work everyday and of course there’s Iberet Active. Iberet Active is specifically designed for active women who need more strength and always on the go.”

Iberet Active is a multivitamin with iron made by Abbott International. It is the most trusted iron supplement brand and contains optimum amounts of efficiently absorbed iron to prevent Iron Deficiency Anemia which causes paleness, tiredness and fatigue among sufferers. Iberet Active also has vitamin C for better iron absorption and immune protection, and vitamin B complexes for enhanced metabolism.

Iberet Active nurtured the girls on their Everest expedition and it continues to do so. “Dr. Ted Esguerra, our expedition doctor, had us take it because it helps in the transport of oxygen to the cells of the body,” Janet states.
