NU 107 Rock Awards set

NU 107 once again honors rock’s best with the NU 107 Rock Awards 2008. The event, to be held on Nov. 27 at the Silver City, Frontera Verde, Pasig City, will feature live performances by Markus Highway, The Dawn, Greyhoundz, Urbandub, Radio Active Sago Project, Pupil, Rico Blanco, Razorback, Sandwich and Bamboo. Gates open at 5 p.m.

The NU 107 Rock Awards 2008 categories include Best New Artist, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, Guitarist of the Year, Bassist of the Year, Drummer of the Year and Best Music Video. Winners will be partly determined via on-line voting through the website.

Aside from the usual group and individual categories, special awards have also been lined up like the Red Horse In The Raw Award, The Smart/U Rock College Band Of The Year, the Nokia IAC Award and the Smart Buddy Listener’s Choice Award. For details, call 911-5555.
