Marian is Dyesebel

It’s confirmed: Marian Rivera (photo) will play the title role in Dyesebel, the new GMA fantasy-adventure that will replace her top-rating starrer Marimar (all-time-high rating is 49-plus percent) which will end next month.

Her leading man is again Dingdong Dantes who plays Sergio to Marian’s Marimar

These past several weeks, a guessing game has been going on as to who will play the half-fish/half-human beauty first played on the big screen by Edna Luna and then, in the successive remakes, by Eva Montes, Alma Moreno, Vilma Santos, Alice Dixson and Charlene Gonzalez.

Marian stars in the joint Regal Films/GMA Films venture My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend, a smash-hit Valentine movie co-starring Richard Gutierrez, still showing in theaters nationwide.
