He is the voice behind the hit songs Nasaan, What Do I Do, Ha, and remakes like Each Day With You, Panalangin, Kahit Kailan, Panaginip, Narito Ka, Eto Na Naman and Beep-Beep. He also writes songs for other artists like Nina (Someday and I Need Your Love), Joaqui (Bore With You) and Nicole Joy (Maghihintay).
Nyoy has composed, arranged and recorded various TV and radio commercial jingles like Smart Communications’ Dahil Smart Tayo, Smart Link’s Parang Kapiling, Pantene’s Anna, San Miguel Beer’s Binibini, Ellipse Cologne’s You’re My You, PLDT Payphone’s Bahagi Na Ng Buhay, Nestlé Kitkat’s You’re My You and Tiendesitas Mall jingle, among others. He also collaborated in the TV and movie themes of ABS-CBN’s Esperanza: The Movie, Wansapanataym and GMA 7’s Maging Sino Ka Man.
The talented singer has released five commercial recording albums under Vicor Music Corp. namely Acoustic: Nyoy Volante with Mannos (2003), NV&M (2004), OPM Klasiks (2005), Umagang Kay Ganda (a compilation of the first three albums), and Nyoy Volante: Now Hear This (2006).
Nyoy won several awards from the Shanghai Music Festival, PARI/OPM, Awit Awards, Aliw Awards, MTV, Center for Excellence, Department of Education, Department of Tourism and People’s Choice Award. He recently won the People’s Choice Favorite Song of the Year Award from the 20th Awit Awards for the song Someday.
The guitar virtuoso has performed with some of the country’s top artists like Gary Valenciano, Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, APO Hiking Society, Kuh Ledesma, Ogie Alcasid, Jose Mari Chan, Ramon Jacinto, Nina, Jasmine Trias, Sitti and Paolo Santos.

These days Nyoy is singing a different melody as he embarks on a new passion. He teaches kids how to perform and sing at H.E.R.O.E.S. (Honing, Enhancing, Refining of Entertainers School). His family put up the music school to give back the blessings Nyoy continues to receive all these years and to share what he has learned throughout his musical career. The school encourages those who want to be singers and performers to master their skills and build their self-confidence. At H.E.R.O.E.S., Nyoy joins a team of music and self-enhancement instructors. He auditions students of H.E.R.O.E.S. His wards describe him as a cool teacher who allows them to show their talents and improve themselves as individuals.
