Uncover the other side of Willie Revillame

A lesser known facet of Willie Revillame sparkles with a brilliance that everybody will notice in his debut Universal album simply titled Pito Pito.

Willie is a popular — sometimes controversial — TV host, a distinguished movie actor/comedian; but first and foremost a musician. As one of the most competent drummers around, he has accompanied the country’s leading artists in live concerts and recording sessions. He has even joined a few of them in roadshows abroad.

His musicality takes solo limelight with the release of his debut album. The package is a showcase of Willie’s versatility where he sails on to different musical genre via his varied repertoire.

The festive carrier single, Pito Pito written by Lito Camo, also has that irresistible danceable beat. It has already been produced into a musical video, directed by Mista Tann.

Ernie Baron readily said yes to Willie when he invited the former to be a guest artist in Pito Pito. The veteran broadcaster’s participation enhanced the humor which the hit single imparts.

The infectious rhythm of Beep Beep Beep Ang Sabi Ng Jeep (another Lito Camo original) assures this album of a short-cut to the top of the charts. Willie offers pleasant vocal surprises on this track! The more songs one listens to, the more Willie becomes musically lovable.

Juntis Ka Na Pala
, written by Andrew E, assumed R&B flavor with the arrangement of multi-awarded arranger/producer Noel (DJ MOD) Macanaya. Hear how Willie tackles new vocal challenges.

Then comes Willie’s romantic side in Walang Hanggang Pagmamahal, composed by Jojo Espino. It’s a pleasant surprise how Willie interprets this heart-warming ballad.

The cut Jok Jok Jok spells great fun, another sure winner from Lito Camo. The song was arranged by Albert Tamayo, who also worked on Pito Pito and Beep Beep Beep.

All the minus-ones of the mentioned songs are on Side B of the album (from tracks six to 10).

Willie recorded his debut Universal Records album right after he resigned from MTB.

Soon, Willie will be hosting Puso O Pera, a variety game show on ABC 5, with Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and PLDT among the major sponsors. Maui Taylor and Patricia Javier will be the other mainstays of the multi-million peso boobtube fare.

Willie will also be out of the country for a two-week Japanese live concert tour soon. Other networks have also been offering him new shows.

Since he has always been a reliable think-tank in all the shows he has hosted, Willie opts to be more on the creative side of TV production.

The release of the Pito Pito album would also create a most sought-after performer in the live circuit. Soon he would be busy with live engagements.

The Pito Pito album launch is co-sponsored by Willie’s Funline Hawk and Hammerhead T-shirts.

With the continuous success coming Willie’s way, he says it always pays to be happy and at peace with yourself, even during trying moments.

"I am so thankful to God for always taking good care of me," Willie smiles.
