Pickpockets on the rise

THEY'RE PICKY. Beware. It seems pickpockets are favoring an area in downtown Cebu.

According to an EAR source they particularly prefer to target passengers getting on public utility jeepneys that loop around the Colon Street area.

They also prefer to operate after darkness falls because it is harder for people to see what is going on around them, and because PUJs tend to get caught in heavy traffic, allowing them more time to pick the pockets of their victims.
