Talisay Ballers annihilate Prolific in MGBL
CEBU, Philippines — The Talisay City Ballers annihilated the Prolific squad, 112-56, for their second straight victory in the 18 Under division of the Minglanilla G-Sports Basketball League (MGBL) Season 2 at the Vel Pal open court in Barangay Pakigne, Minglanilla.
Judge Rodel Cuico dropped 20 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Talisay Ballers, who kept their sizzling offensive after taking a huge 59-30 lead at halftime on the way to come up with a ruthless 56-point massacre.
Still in the U15 class, Harry Paran collected 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals as Team Jenrick of coach Roderick Amores spanked the Minglanilla Ballers, 73-64, to barge into the win column.
In the U15 age group, Crowee Sly Bas cashed in 14 points, two rebounds and two assists to power the Pinggan Slasher to a 58-28 rout of Spydas.
In the U13 category, Jeric Matthieu Bascar netted 16 points, three boards, and two dimes as Tulay Seabzz opened their campaign with a 50-28 thrashing of the Vanguards, while Cedric Glance Batuigas banged in 13 markers, four rebounds and as many assists to catapult the Balamban Kraken to a 55-34 demolition of Linao. — EBV
