1st Cebu City online dancefest: City Central rules seventh leg
CEBU, Philippines — CJ Labra led the charge as City Central School topped the seventh leg of the 1st Cebu City Barangay Grassroots Online Dancesport Competition staged over the weekend.
Labra was accounted for two of City Central's four gold medals spiced up with as many silvers and a bronze. She lorded it over the juvenile II girls chachacha and jive.
City Central's other two gilts were courtesy of Daniela Jasan Elumba (junior I girls closed chachacha) and Viane Igloria (juvenile II girls closed jive).
Punta Princesa placed second with three golds, one silver and one bronze while Labangon, after a dominant performance in the first six legs, wound up only third this time with three golds and one bronze.
Gian Wayne Mangubat produced two golds for Punta in the juvenile II boys chachacha and jive, while Gabriel Iya Min~ao added one in juvenile I girls closed chachacha.
On the other hand, Rodre Yan Rodriguez came up with a golden double for Labangon in the junior I boys closed chachacha and jive while Jessa Mae Torrejas chipped in one in the junior I girls open chachacha.
Pardo's bets stole part of the show after completing a clean sweep in the juvenile I boys chachacha and jive behind the efforts of Nino Lepalam, Justine Benedict Castan~ares, and Wendell Aston Delantar.
The rest of the gold medalists were Daphne Lorraine De la Torre of Consolacion (junior I girls closed jive), Juliet Monique Rallos of Lahug(junior I girls open jive), Christian Pino of Sambag 1 (junior II boys open chachacha), and Jim Joscon of Minglanilla (junior II boys open jive). — EBV
