200 jins to join PTA reg’l tikefest

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu’s hometown bets are expected to have their hands full against the visiting jins from all over Central Visayas in the 2019 Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) Regional Championships set tomorrow at Times Square in Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.

The organizers are expecting around 200 kick-fighters to see action in the one-day tilt that features the poomsae (forms) and kyorugi (sparring) events.

Colored belt holders can join both disciplines, while the black-belters can choose only one.

The tournament is part of PTA’s grassroots development program in the region.

It also serves as the Cebuano jins’ preparations for next month’s Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet in Dumaguete City and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-Batang Pinoy Visayas leg in Iloilo City.
