Third time lucky for Milan in Pacific Wings 9-ball tilt

CEBU, Philippines - After two failed attempts, Allan 'Colonnade' Milan finally made it to the final 16 knockout stage of the 1st Pacific Wings Farm Promotions 9-Ball Handicapping Tournament the other day at the 138 Mall Billiards Center along Colon Street, this city.

Milan saved his best for last to eliminate Eddie Yap in convincing fashion, 5-1.

Anton Raga, Christian Mahusay and Jundel Raga also dispatched their respective foes to complete the cast in the sudden-death phase of the five-day tournament bankrolled by billiards patron Atty. Luisito "Louie" Arma.

Anton Raga strolled past Cris Alcantara, 5-3, Mahusay kicked out Robert Sagarino, while Jundel Raga prevailed over Noel Mullanida via a 5-4 cliffhanger.

A total of P35,000 in cash prize is up for grabs, with the champion getting the biggest chunk of P14,000. The second to fourth placers will pocket P7,000, P3,500 and P2,500, respectively.

The fifth to eighth finishers will receive P1,000 apiece, while those who will make it to the last 16 are assured of P500 each. - THE FREEMAN
