CEOBSA bags 5 titles in GUV Cup horse event

Defending champion Cebu Equine Owners, Breeders and Sportsmen Association (CEOBSA) bagged five titles in the resumption of the 4th Governor’s Cup Horse Show and Competition yesterday at the north reclamation area in Mandaue City.

The three titles came from the barrel race category courtesy of Stewart Shure, Francis Minoza and Alyssa Loren, while the other two came from Angel Abalos and Annie Loren.

Shure dominated the royal division of the barrel race fending off teammates, Junjie Kawashima and Clarence Martinez, while Minoza took the intermediate title.

Alyssa Loren secured the ladies title in the same race after outclassing Rhea Pelaez and teammate Annie Loren.

Annie Loren, on the other hand, bounced back as she reigned supreme in the Class A category of the show jumping event, thrashing Josh Mita of Davao and Stewart Shure of CEOBSA.

Angel Abalos of CEOBSA secured the kiddies division title of the same event overpowering Dave Mahestrado of Impasugong and Keannu Dela Cerna of Malaybalay Bukidnon.

In Class B, Amor Mahestrado of Impasugong took the title followed by Andy Tan of Davao and Alyssa Loren of CEOBSA.

Malaybalay’s Earl Jan Ebora topped the expert division of the barrel race followed by Mamart Mercado of CEOBSA and George Misa of Davao Horse Club.—Marigold P. Lebumfacil
