Dr. Bede Ilano claimed the 2008 Bowlingplex Tenpin Association’s June Bowler of the Month title the other day at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Brgy. Banilad, this city.
Ilano toppled 1, 675 pins for the title, edging out Xyrra Cabusas of the University of San Carlos-South Campus, who knocked down 1, 626 pins.
With the win, Ilano joined the other monthly champions in the likes of Jomar Jumapao, Michelle Lim, and Clark Tiu into the year-ending Bowler of Year showdown sometime in December.
Junjun Gothong settled for third place with 1, 612 pinfalls.
Rounding up the top 10 finishers were Wilbert Yu (1,611), Clarence Tiu (1,595), Lolong Uy (1,581), Bel Suelto (1,563), Micah Co (1,562), Charly Michael (1,519) and Clark Tiu (1,446 pinfalls). – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
