Pit-os gets taste of Oplan Disiplina

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) implemented another round of “Oplan Disiplina yesterday morning in Barangay Pit-os, Cebu City,” reminding the people on community safety and order, cleanliness, road clearing, among others.

CCPO Director Ireneo Dalogdog led the implementation, which was the fifth after Mayor Michael Rama signed the executive order on it in October 2022, with CCPO as the task force head.

The order was meant to instill discipline by having the residents follow the city’s ordinances, especially those that focus on the environment, health and safety, sanitation, and traffic rules, among others.

Aside from CCPO, Cebu City Government offices, like the Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, and Enhancement (PROBE) team and the City Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Team, joined the implementation yesterday.

Previous implementations, which were done just this month, were in barangays San Roque, Tejero, Tinago, and Pasil.

Dalogdog said that during the implementation, they made the public aware of the executive order and explained its relevance to the community.

He, however, emphasized that ensuring discipline in following all local laws are in the shoulders of the barangay officials.

— RHM (CEBU NEWS)
