Cebu City’s active cases jump to 209

CEBU, Philippines —  Cebu City’s active COVID-19 cases was up to 209 after recording 18 additional cases on Friday, November 13, data of the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7) showed.

For four straight days, the city logged double digit in terms of new COVID cases.

On Tuesday, 13 new cases were logged; Wednesday, 28; and Thursday, 10.

The total number of cases in the city is at 10,379.

Meanwhile, total recoveries are pegged at 9,488 after recording five additional recoveries.

No new death was recorded, maintaining the total deaths at 682.

On the other hand, the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu have 41 and 79 active cases, respectively.

Mandaue City has 2,590 total number of cases as five new cases were recorded.

There were three new recoveries reported, bringing the total recoveries to 2,385.

The total number of deaths remains at 164 as no new death was reported.

Lapu-Lapu City has a total of 2,502 COVID-19 cases. There were eight new cases recorded based on the latest DOH-7 update.

The total number of recoveries is still at 2,315 as no new recoveries were recorded.

Also, the total number of deaths is still at 108 as no new death was recorded per the latest update.

Cebu Province, on the other hand, has 248 active cases.

The total number of cases in the province is at 6,498 after recording 16 additional cases.

The total number of recoveries is at 5,853, 33 of these were new.

The total number of deaths is at 397 as one new death was recorded.

As of Friday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas is at 23,079 with 902 active cases, 20,807 total reported recoveries, and 1,370 total reported deaths. — KQD (FREEMAN)
