Consolacion sets cemetery rules for visitors

CEBU, Philippines — The Municipality of Consolacion has set regulations for those who will visit public and private cemeteries in the town.

An executive order was issued by Mayor Joannes Alegado setting protocols to be observed in all cemeteries, memorial parks, columbarium and alike in the town.

Under EO No.70 series of 2020, 30 percent of the capacity of the place will be implemented and the one traffic scheme shall be observed or the “one-way exit and entrance”.

There will be curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Cemeteries among others will be closed on October 29 to November 4 as per guidelines issued by Inter-Agency Task Force for Covid-19. Prior and after the said dates, visitors are allowed.

Visitors must present their quarantine passes, wear face mask and face shield together with alcohol and must observe physical distancing.

“During such time, age restriction, twenty-one (21) years old and below and sixty-five (65) years old and above, shall not apply to visitors of the aforementioned places. However, the municipality still encourages the subject individuals to observe the twenty-four (24) hours curfew period,” read the EO of Alegado.

The municipality has also set barangay schedule for those who will be visiting the cemeteries, memorial parks and alike.

Starting October 15 the schedule are for residents of Lanipga and Panas, October 16 for Panoypoy and Tilhaong, October 17 for Cabangahan and Sacsac, October 18 for Garing, October 19 for Polog.

October 20 for Tolotolo, October 21 for Danglag, October 22 for Jugan, October 23 for Lamac, October 24 for Pitogo, October 25 for Cansaga, October 26 for Casili, October 27 for Poblacion Occidental,  October 28 for Poblacion Oriental.

November 5 for Nangka, November 6 for Pulpogan; November 7 for Tayud and November 8 for Tugbongan.  — GMR (FREEMAN)
