Mom says Ronron robbed daughter

- Mylen P. Manto -

CEBU, Philippines - To corroborate the testimony of its sixth witness, the defense in the murder case against SPO1 Adonis Dumpit presented the mother of the witness.

The sixth witness, Kimberly Corro, told the court earlier that she was robbed by Ronron Go, an alleged notorious robber that Dumpit allegedly killed on December 14, 2004.

Yesterday, Kimberly’s mother, Elizabeth, 45, told the court that they sought for Dumpit’s help after the six policemen who conducted a hot pursuit at the crime scene failed to locate Go.

Elizabeth said they sought for Dumpit’s help because robbers and thieves were afraid of him.

When they approached Dumpit, her daughter was asked to describe the person who took her necklace.

After Kimberly gave the description, Dumpit reportedly told them that it was Go and showed them a picture of the boy. Kimberly positively identified the boy in the picture.

Elizabeth said that after their conversation, she went to Police Station 1 to look for another picture of Go, but got none. She was reportedly about to go to Police Station 2 when she heard that Go had been shot.

She, her daughter and her husband and siblings immediately went to the hospital with Dumpit. There, Kimberly identified the cadaver as that of Go’s.

Out of anger, Kimberly reportedly was about to get her sandal to hit Go’s cadaver.

Elizabeth said her daughter had a hard time sleeping after the robbery because of trauma.

Elizabeth likewise affirmed that they were close friends with Dumpit and his family. She said her family knew Dumpit’s family for a long time. She even reportedly calls Dumpit “pre” because her siblings and Dumpit’s siblings went to the same school.  (FREEMAN)
