Man found dead in sitio Kalinawan

-

CEBU, Philippines - An unidentified man, whose head was almost completely cut off, his right arm and ears missing, was found floating in a river in sitio Kalinawan, barangay Tanke, Talisay City, early yesterday morning.

He was fished out from a river in sitio Kalinawan around 7 a.m. Fisherman Warlito Traso, who saw him first, alerted the police.

The only identification he had on his person was the word “PAL” tattooed on his left arm, police said.

The man was naked from the waist down but was wearing five shirts on his body, each on top of the other.

Police also said his head and right leg showed three hack wounds.

PO3 Mikie Espina of the city police’s homicide section said the man was between 50 to 60 years old, with fair complexion, and was 5’2” tall.

Espina said the man could have tried to break into a house taking into account the five shirts he was wearing.

He said that in most cases, members of “Akyat Bahay” gang members wear different shirts of different colors to avoid recognition as they leave the house they have burglarized.

The man’s body was taken to St. Francis Funeral Homes in barangay Bulacao. —Liv G. Campo   (FREEMAN NEWS)
