CEBU, Philippines - Two Korean nationals were arrested after they were caught in the act of using marijuana at the parking lot of a disco house in barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City last Saturday night.
Police identified the Korean nationals as Tin Eun, 28, and Sun Woo Jung, 28. They are temporarily staying at an uptown hotel.
Members of Police Auxiliary Group who were patrolling outside the disco house spotted the suspects and immediately arrested them. The suspects were subsequently turned over to the City Intelligence Detection Management Branch.
Charlie Shin, vice-president of the Korean Association in Cebu, went to CCPO to inquire about the arrest. Shin said he will extend legal assistance to the suspects.
Supt. Pablo Labra II, head of the IDMB, told The FREEMAN that the suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 2, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Illegal Drugs Act 2002.
