Vacation Treats At Sentosa Island

- Angie A. Amaquin -

CEBU, Philippines - When you travel to Singapore, don’t miss visiting Sentosa Island. It’s an idyllic resort island with beaches, world-class attractions, sea sports, golf and retreats.

It only takes less than 10 minutes to travel to Sentosa Island from VivoCity Centre where the Sentosa Station is located through the Sentosa Express. But you have other options, either by bus or by car. While heading to the island, you will see the ongoing construction of the Casino. Visitors will enjoy the different parts of the island via the Waterfront Station, Imbiah Station and Beach Station.

In Imbiah Station, you will see “Singapore’s Biggest Attractions” — Cable Car, Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, Sky Tower, Sentosa 4D Magix, Sentosa Luge & Skyride, Images of Singapore, the Merlion and Sentosa Cineblast. Other attractions are Fort Siloso Tours, Underwater World, Dolphin Lagoon, Animal & Bird Encounters, The Flying Trapeze and Sentosa Golf Club. The kids will enjoy the Merlion Walk where they can take a bath and have fun playing with the flowing water.

Beach Station is where you can find Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong Beach. You can ride the tram when you want to go to the different beaches. During weekends, people prefer to stay overnight, sleeping at the beach side with their tents. Songs of the Sea is a famous water show that you shouldn’t miss, and don’t forget to bring home “Oscar the Plush” toy as your remembrance.

Sentosa is such an exciting island. Make sure to drop by during your next visit to Singapore!
