Derek Ramsay proves to be a worthy leading man

CEBU, Philippines - In its 60 Years of Soap Opera celebration, ABS-CBN proudly presents its newest teleserye, Habang May Buhay, led by the one and only Queen of Teleserye Judy Ann Santos side-by-side with one of the country’s most in-demand leading men in the industry, Derek Ramsay also dubbed as the “Universal Leading Man”.

A lot of potential was seen in Filipino-British Derek and as he entered the world of showbiz, he instantly got a string of projects in, TV and film. He recently starred in Star Cinema’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry, I Love You Goodbye. He is also one of the most wanted male product endorsers, backing such products as Century Corned Tuna, Lucky Me, Nestle Nesvita, San Miguel Beer, Swatch and Oxygen.

Derek’s career in showbiz started as one of the hosts in the Saturday magazine talk show Entertainment Konek on ABS-CBN. Aside from having a knack for hosting, he is also a natural in acting. After appearing in Ang Panday and in the fantaserye Super Inggo, Derek landed the lead role in the series Ysabella as Chef Mito alongside Soap Opera Queen Judy Ann Santos. Their successful tandem will be renewed in Habang May Buhay.

In the story, Derek is Sam, Jane Alcantara’s (Judy Ann) childhood best friend. He tries his best to run from his past but when he crosses paths again with the person that he hurt, will he be able to heal the scars in exchange for the woman he loves?
