Araneta Center Cyber Park expands with more BPO firms

The Araneta Center Cyber Park is gearing up to be the new business hub in Quezon City with more business process outsourcing (BPO) and IT firms establishing their offices in the eight-hectare business and technology complex.

Consisting of modern four- to six-story buildings, the Cyber Park is envisioned to be the busiest technology hub in Metro Manila due to its prime location and proximity to main thoroughfares and trade areas.

It is Araneta Center’s answer to the growing BPO and IT industry in the country today.

Telus International Phils., formerly Ambergris Solutions, is the latest BPO firm to join the Cyber Park’s growing list of tenants.

A subsidiary of Canada’s second largest telecommunications company, Telus is expected to occupy 7,000 square meters of office space by November this year and will acquire another 6,600 square meters in the prime business location by April 2009.

Telus employs more than 6,500 call center professionals across the Asia-Pacific region and currently has a wide client base from North America, most of them in the Fortune 500 list.

Apart from Telus, Araneta Center Cyber Park has signed contracts with other major players in the BPO industry that will be operating in the new cyber site.

Among these tenants include Accenture, which has offices at the Gateway Tower; APAC Customer Services Inc., a 2,000-seat call center facility that specializes in integrated customer care and acquisition services; Advanced Contact Solutions, the first and only call center listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange; and Agentworks Contact Solutions of SM EVentures, which focuses on outbound services to sectors such as finance, energy and education.

With a growing list of major BPO players setting up offices in the vicinity, Araneta Center is set to become a fast-rising, self-contained business community.

Easily accessible via private and public transport, Araneta Center is poised to be at the forefront of preferred technology hotspots with the way it intersperses shopping, dining, and entertainment with the hustle and bustle of corporate life.
