“Product excellence is truly a key to global competitiveness.”

This was how event organizer Worldexco lauded the attributes of the seven recipients of the prestigious Excellence Awards at this year’s Corporate Giveaways and Corporate Solutions 2008 held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila recently.

Worldexco general manager Raquel Z. Romero cited as example the feat of Manels Leathergoods in capturing both local and foreign markets over the last 40 years.

“Over that period, Manels has consistently and passionately pursued the kind of excellence that its manufactured leather products are now widely known for,” Romero said.

Such products include the awardwinning “Manels Corporate Essentials” proudly showcased at the recently concluded 21st Corporate Giveaways, an annual buyers show on business gifts, premiums, promotional ideas, and merchandise incentives.

The three-day show culminated in the presentation of the Excellence Awards to deserving companies engaged in seven different product categories – leather, breakables, paper, packaging, synthetic, metal, and wood.

Joining Manels in receiving the Exellence Awards 2008 were Adman Resources (metal), Grassroots Philippines (packaging), Innovative-Vision Designs (synthetic), Langhoff Promotions (wood), Touch Tab Sticky Notes (paper), and Raymundo’s Trophies & Sculptures (breakables).

Last year, the awardees were Adman Resources (breakables), Chiaro Bags (synthetic), Filta Group of Companies (wood), Manels Leathergoods (leather), Mano-Mano Fair Trade Store (metal), Memo King (paper), and Tieline Inc. (packaging).

While giving recognition to companies that have successfully attained product excellence, the awards also inspire others to do the same, thus generating new sets of awardees every year.

The awardees are also exhibitors at the Corporate Giveaways, whose number of participating firms has consistently grown throughout the years.

Not only can customers place large orders, they can also have their company names and logos printed on every product, wherever they may see fit. Moreover, the products can customized to meet certain specific requirements.

“Manufacturers of products for corporate giveaways have grown enormously over time, prompted mainly by the tremendous growth in demand by the similarly growing corporate market, both locally and abroad,” Romero pointed out.

At the show, the exhibitors do both retail and wholesale, accept booked orders from various segments of the market, and conduct product presentations and other activities that generate business and lucrative opportunities.
