Former Spain PM pays courtesy call to Purisima

Former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Maria Aznar (left) pays a courtesy call visit to Finance secretary Cesar Purisima (right) where both parties discussed more investment opportunities between the two countries, highlighting Spain's strengths in renewable energy, infrastructure and tourism.  

MANILA, Philippines- The former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Maria Aznar and Finance Secretary  Cesar Purisima have discussed investment opportunities between the two countries.

Aznar has paid a courtsey call visit to Purisima. The discussion between Aznar and Purisima has highlighted Spain's strengths in renewable energy, infrastructure and tourism.

In 2012, Spain was the Philippines 30th largest trading partner with total bilateral trade amounting to $362.45 million or 0.32-percent share of Philippines' total trade.

The Philippines exports coconut oil, yellowfin tuna, seaweed, pineapple and carrageenan to Spain and imports odoriferoius substances and mixtures, spirits and garments, among others.
