MANILA, Philippines - To institutionalize a company’s risk management system, it is best practices to have a manual.  This is what world-class organizations do.  In helping business organizations achieve this goal, the Center for Global Best Practices is launching a pioneering seminar workshop entitled, “Best Practices in Crafting A Customized Risk Management Manual” on Thursday and Friday, January 23 & 24, 2014 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

In this two-day special program, participants will be taught risk management concepts while at the same time presenting them in manualized format with examples and templates that can serve as a practical and useful guide for their organization. 

A well-documented professional manual can be a very useful preventive tool in mitigating a lot of risks at all times and save on a lot of costs whether training new people, recalibrating the responsiveness of your team, transitioning to a new organization or making crucial business decisions. For those with a good background in risk management, this program will come as a refresher course in revisiting enterprise-wide risk management principles and updating with recent developments, seeing these in a new light while designing a risk management manual.

The program is designed to provide participants with hands-on practice in crafting and documenting risk management manual. Attending this event is like having your own consultant working side by side with you in crafting your own manual. It can save a lot of cost in hiring a consultant doing the manual for you! Attendees are encouraged to bring their existing risk management manual for insights and feedback that can be provided by our expert in this field.

This learning opportunity will feature risk management expert, Lilian S. Linsangan, CPA, CIA, CFE, CCSP. She was formerly the partner-in-charge and head of Specialist Advisory Services Division of Punongbayan and Araullo. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the audit of local and multinational companies in various industries. She headed P&A’s largest group – the audit division – until 2008 and its advisory services which include its risk management services until she retired in 2011.
