Banat Opinyon

Pagbaligya sa prinsipiyo

IYO ANTOY - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Kon buhi pa to karon si Judas Escariot, nga mibaligya ni Lord Jesus, for 30 pieces of silver, unya nahimong public servant, unsa man? Duna ba kaha to siyay prinsipiyo no, nga iya man kinng gibugtian og silver (salapi?).

Akong tan-aw, may kalabotan kini sa atong konsiyensia, kay matud sa google: “Conscience is the ‘highest authority’ and evaluates information to determine the quality of an action: good or evil, fair or unfair.

Dugang pa, “A person's conscience can influence his decisions by acting as an internal moral compass, guiding them to choose actions they believe are right and avoid those they perceive as wrong.”

So, ang atong konsiyensia, kon atong palihukom ug paminawon, mahimo kining sumbanan, o moral guide, ethical compass, guiding principle, code of ethics, ug belief system. Ngilngig kaayo ang atong konsiyensia, kon ato kining hatagan og importansiya.

Nia pa g’yud: “Conscience acts as a filter, judging whether a potential action aligns with one's moral code, prompting reflection on the potential consequences of a choice. It provides an inner voice that directs individuals towards actions they believe are good and away from those considered harmful.”

Conscience is shaped by a person's upbringing (giunsa kita pagmatuto sa atong mga ginikanan}, life experiences, beliefs, and societal norms, which influence how they define right and wrong. Their conscience might urge them not to lie (fake news?).

“A person with a strong sense of integrity (are you?), might feel a strong internal conflict and choose not to cheat (people’s money?) Conscience describes two things – what a person believes is right and how a person decides what is right.”

“Moral principles are guidelines that people live by to make sure they are doing the right thing. These include things like honesty, fairness, and equality.”

Sa basahon Imitation of Christ, si Jesus nagkanayon (motuo ka pa bag Ginoo?): “The glory of a good man is the testimony of a good conscience.

Have a good conscience and you shall always have joy (ayaw katingala kon wala nimo ma-felt ang langitnong kalipay karon).

“A bad conscience instead is always fearful and uneasy (mao ba kini ang imong gibati karon nga daghan man tingali ka’g kwarta?). Never rejoice except when you have done well.” Have you?

Unsaon pagpaminaw sa konsiyensia? “Reflect – take time to reflect on your actions and how they align with your values. We all have a conscience that is constantly talking to us. Whenever you are doing anything, a soft inner voice will tell you if it is OK to do this or not. Or may you should do it differently. When you start listening to this voice and responding, the voice grows louder.”

There you are.
