FIGBA finals in 30 venues

MANILA, Philippines — The FIGBA Sabayan Para sa Masa eight-stag derby holds its final round simultaneously in 30 venues nationwide today featuring 36 associations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao affiliated with the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA).

Since it started last month, Sabayan (for locally banded stags) has attracted more than 3,000 entries.

Meanwhile, gamefowl breeders gird up for the National Bakbakan 12-stag derby, according to FIGBA president Ricoy Palmares Jr. 

For uniformity and in keeping with FIGBA’s high standards, only Bakbakan banded stags will be accepted in the elimination rounds up to the finals.

The complete schedule of derbies this month are on Oct. 23 (GBAP), Oct. 25 (BBC, MMGBA and GB –ONE), Oct. 27 (GBAP, BBC and LAGBA), Oct. 28 (CVGBA, BBC, UMIGBA, CVBA and ZGBA), Oct. 29 (BIGBA), Oct 30 (UCBA and MIGBA) and Oct 31 (CGBA).
