Blazers still need to play better as a team, says new coach
July 3, 2017 | 10:00am
MANILA, Philippines — Newly minted Benilde head coach TY Tang stressed the need to work on the Blazers "team mentality".
"Our problem right now is the mentality of putting all that effort collectively more than individually," Tang said during the NCAA Season 93 presser at the Mall of Asia Arena Monday.
"That has been our concern, working toward being together and winning together," he added.
Tang played five years for the De La Salle University Green Archers under multi-titlists mentor Franz Pumaren and seven season with Rain or Shine in the PBA.
Tang replaced Gabby Velasco, who resigned after Blazers' 1-17 win-loss record in the NCAA Season 92 men's basketball tournament.
The Blazers will debut against the UPHSD Altas on Sunday, July 9, at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City. - Aaron Brennt B. Eusebio
