Drug suspect, 2 others shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — Three persons, including an alleged drug pusher, were killed in Cagayan, Cavite and Camarines Sur  in the past two days.

Drug surrenderee Franco Apostol was driving his motorcycle in Barangay  Centro 1, Tuao, Cagayan on Tuesday when he was shot by a man wearing a mask who emerged from a white car.

The victim managed to run away, but the assailant pursued and finished him off in front of the house of a certain Joven Maglapayat at around 1:30 p.m.

Apostol was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.

An unidentified man allegedly shot it out with policemen manning a checkpoint along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Talaba, Bacoor, Cavite before noon yesterday.

The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. His companion ecaped.

Senior Police Officer  2 Wilfredo Sabater was wounded and taken to the  St. Dominic Hospital.

In Camarines Sur, Nicanor Ipo Sr., 59, a resident of Barangay San Antonio in Bombon town, was found dead with a gunshot wound in the head at his house on Tuesday.

Investigations into the killings are ongoing.
