Truck falls off Benguet cliff; 1dead

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, Philippines – A man died while six others were injured when a truck fell into a ravine in Alno town here on Friday afternoon.

Pedro Gumisa, 47, of Baguio City, was declared dead on arrival at the Benguet General Hospital and Medical Center, where his companions were also taken for treatment.

Investigations showed that Gumisa, along with Roger Aspilan, 15; Milanio Aspilan, 34; Tony Pinmangin, 35, and three others whose names were not immediately available, were in an Isuzu Elf truck driven by Kimberly Tunget.

Probers believe Tunget lost control of the wheel as they were traveling in Barangay Induyan.
