Accident leads to 13-year-old girl's rescue
ZAMBOANGA CITY - A 13-year old girl was accidentally rescued after the two suspected kidnappers on board a motorcycle crashed into another parked motorcycle on Tuesday night in Dumalinao town, Zamboanga del Sur.
Inspector DAhlan Samuddin, Police Regional Office 9 public information officer, said the accident that happened in Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, also led to the arrest of the two suspects identified as Geraldo Sajulga and Ramil Canaba, residents of Tigbao and Dumalinao towns, respectively.
Samuddin said that the suspects made the 13-year-old victim drink liquor at the Dumalinao public market before taking her on board a motorcycle.
He said that responding policemen have already failed to catch up on the suspects, until their motorcycle crashed into another motorcycle parked along the highway in Barangay Camanga at around 9:35 p.m.
Policemen brought the two suspects at a hospital for treatment of their injuries before locking them up at a local police station.
