Fire hits Quezon City slum; 60 families homeless

MANILA, Philippines - Around 60 families were left homeless when a fire broke out at a slum area in Quezon City on Saturday night.
Arson probers said the fire started at a two-story house owned by Elias Martinez at around 10:25 p.m.
Aljon Paul Beseño suffered minor injuries.
The fire reached the fourth alarm before it was declared under control at around 1:30 a.m.
At least 35 houses were destroyed by the fire. Damage to property was estimated at P500,000.
Authorities have yet to establish the cause of the fire.
