Support the BBL

Everyone should not only give their full support, but also fervent prayers that the Bangsamoro Basic Law will succeed 100%. The path is long, the journey wide and the task arduous and this is the reason the whole nation should rally behind it. And to set aside criticisms and differences, as these factors have only brought failures and mistakes for our nations.

The military is one of the first which have expressed strong support for the BBL, for as soldiers they are the ones who want to have peace for our country, so that there will be no more hostilities among us. The BBL will provide a political solution to the conflict in Mindanao as part of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, or the CAB, which was signed in March. Also, our soldiers suffer, and risk their lives.

The four-decade conflict with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will soon end and a new hope looms big for progress. In an inter-faith rally held in Manila, Muslims, Christians, Protestants and other religious denominations gave their support to the BBL. The event showed unity towards the BBL. Such gatherings, where various groups converge as a manifestation that our people are showing their citizenship virtues of the highest order. – Raul Ramon Rosamonte, Mindanao
