Rody to Grace: My mouth is not your mouth
DAVAO CITY, Philippines – President Duterte told Sen. Grace Poe to just keep quiet as she does not understand where he stands in the fight against illegal drugs.
Duterte earlier cursed former president Benigno Aquino III, who criticized the government’s war against illegal drugs. Poe reminded Duterte to watch his language as children also listen to him speak.
But Duterte shot back at Poe.
“Tahimik ka lang diyan kasi hindi mo naintindihan (You just keep quiet because you don’t understand) where I stand,” the President said when he visited soldiers in Marawi City on Friday afternoon.
“Sabihin pa ni Grace na (Grace said) ‘watch your mouth.’ You take care of your mouth and I will take care of mine because my mouth is not your mouth,” he added.
Poe said while it has been Duterte’s “style” to curse and insult people in public, there are minors who might think it is right and do the same.
“Sangayon ba tayo doon? (Do we agree with that?)” she said.
“I know he knows what’s right and wrong, so I just want to remind him, SPG (strong parental guidance),” she added.
SPG is a classification given by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board on movie and television programs with content not suitable for minors.
Before Poe became senator, she served as chair on the MTRCB.
