PAGASA: Storm signals lifted but be ready for rain

The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines -- Tropical Depression Ambo made landfall over Dinalungan, Aurora early Monday morning and weakened into a low pressure area.

Although storm warning signals have been lowered, PAGASA said the LPA can still bring occasional moderate to heavy rains and warned against flash floods and landslides in Northern and Central Luzon as well as in the provinces of Rizal and Quezon.

According to PAGASA's 5 a.m. weather bulletin, the LPA was 66 km west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

It forecast cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Zamboanga Peninsula regions as well as the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The provinces of Palawan, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato and Saranggani can expect similar weather.

The rest of the country should be ready for isolated rains and thunderstorms, the weather bureau said.
