Sexy Talk with Lovi & Dennis & Carla

Some of the promo photos of Regal Films’ new bold drama My Neighbor’s Wife, directed by Jun Lana (who describes it as “Hot, very hot!”) remind you of the late ‘60s Hollywood mate-swapping movie Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, don’t they? The four stars, led by the late Natalie Wood, were shown oh-so-innocently-looking under one blanket in a large bed, as if ready to tell one another bedtime stories when actually they were up to something more exciting than that.

In My Neighbor’s Wife, Jake Cuenca and Carla Abellana play husband and wife, and so do Dennis Trillo and Lovi Poe. The characters of Jake and Lovi get into an affair and, giving them a dose of their own medicine, Carla and Dennis get into an affair, too. Tit for tat.

Opening on Sept. 14 nationwide, My Neighbor’s Wife may touch some sensitive nerves among the prudes but then, it tackles a very real issue. Take a peep into your neighbor’s bedroom and you might be shocked by what you will see.

In keeping with the movie’s theme, Funfare asked Lovi and Carla and Dennis to do a little “sexy talk” (Jake wasn’t in the mood for it).

What is sexy to you?

Lovi: Sexy to me is being natural, effortless.

Carla: Sexy is an expression of confidence in one’s own body and even sensuality. It is also subjective. One can consider himself not sexy but others can think otherwise.

Dennis: Intelligence plus confidence is sexy.

When do you feel sexy?

Lovi: I feel sexy when the camera is in front of me. When it’s not on me, I don’t feel complete.

Carla: Definitely in the morning when I wake up, well-rested.

Dennis: When I get off the shower.

What part of your body do you consider sexy?

Lovi: Right now, I consider my lips as sexiest. Also, my eyes…I think.

Carla: That’s a tie between my eyes and my waist.

Dennis: I believe I have sexy eyes.

What part of a man’s/woman’s body do you consider sexiest?

Lovi: The eyes. The eyes say it all. The hands, too.

Carla: His hands and his eyes.

Dennis: I am a butt person.

Sexiest book?

Lovi: Wuthering Heights. I would love to play Cathy!

Carla: The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.

Dennis: The mammoth book of The Kama Sutra.

Sexiest movie?

Lovi: Charlie St. Cloud is the most recent movie that I saw. My all-time favorite? Casablanca.

Carla: Cruel Intentions, my favorite!

Dennis: In The Realm Of The Senses by Nagisa Oshima.

Sexiest musical instrument?

Lovi: The piano, definitely!

Carla: The violin. It’s also my favorite.

Dennis: Any modern brass instrument that requires blowing.

Sexiest song?

Lovi: Come With Me by Norah Jones.

Carla: Oooh, that’s hard. It’s a triple tie among Kissing by Bliss, Destiny by Zero 7 and Colorblind by Counting Crows (only because of Cruel Intentions, hehehe!).

Dennis: Massive Attack’s Angel.

Sexiest TV show?

Lovi: Friends and The Tudors.

Carla: Gotta love Nip/Tuck.

Dennis: FTV’s Midnight Hot.

Sexiest food?

Lovi: Strawberries or grapes.

Carla: Some say oysters are an aphrodisiac therefore sexy. But I’m not a fan of oysters. I think strawberries dipped in chocolate are sexy.

Dennis: Fish tacos.

Sexiest car?

Lovi: BMW.

Carla: 8 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

Dennis: Audi R8.

Lovi: Creed.

Carla: Dolce & Gabbana’s Rose The One.

Lovi: Morning…the moment I wake up.

Carla: Dinner time when you’re all dolled up with matching red lips.

Dennis: 4:20 a.m.

Lovi: The bedroom.

Carla: The bath tub, if I had one.

Lovi: A panther in the night.

Carla: Sorry, I’m a dog lover. Even if it doesn’t make sense. Hehehehe!
