MANILA, Philippines — The husband and former husband of deceased actress Isabel Granada on Sunday thanked the supporters who prayed for her during her battle against aneurysm.

Granada’s husband Arnel Cowley thanked the Filipino community in Doha, Qatar for helping them during their difficult time.

“I would also like to take this time to thank the Filipino community in Doha for giving their full support throughout this difficult time for myself and the family,” Cowley said in a statement as he confirmed his wife’s passing.

Likewise, Granada's first husband Jericho Genasky Aguas, who flew to Qatar last week, also thanked the family, friends and supporters who showed love and prayed for the actress’s healing.

Aguas also sought for prayers for the eternal repose of Granada’s soul.

Aguas gave an update saying he, and his son, Hubert Thomas Jericho Granada Aguas, as well as Granada's family, would head back to the Philippines to arrange her funeral.

He said Cowley is currently coordinating with the Philippine Embassy and Spanish Embassy for the repatriation of Granada’s remains. Granada, whose family is of Spanish descent, is a Filipino citizen.

Granada passed away on Saturday evening after being in a coma for over a week. She was 41.

The actress lost consciousness during the Philippine Trade and Tourism Conference in Qatar and suffered a brain hemorrhage that indicates aneurysm.

Cowley said the condition affected Granada’s heart.
